Narrative Writing
This is a form of writing that tells a story. Narratives can be essays, fairy tales, movies, poetry and short stories. The course offered has a total of 20 lessons and is strictly in accordance with Australian teaching framework and expectations. This course is suitable for students who are proficient in or experienced with reading and are just getting started with writing. It aims to teach the structure and basics of narrative writing styles and assist with the gaining, understanding and increasing the use of advanced vocabulary. It lays a solid foundation for more complicated writing styles in the future. Lecturer Chris G is a professor with in the former literary department of Monash University and a top Australian English writer and teacher.
Descriptive Writing
Capturing an event through descriptive writing involves paying close attention to the details by using all of your five senses. Good descriptive writing includes many vivid sensory details that paint a picture and appeals to all of the reader’s senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste when appropriate. Descriptive writing may also paint pictures of the feelings the person, place or thing invokes in the writer.
This course is suitable for students of any English level and are just getting started with writing. The course offered has a total of 20 lessons, strictly in accordance with Australian teaching framework and expectations. It aims to teach the very foundations of good writing and assists with the understanding of and increase in the use of vocabulary and writing styles. It lays a solid foundation for more complicated writing styles in the future. The instructor Gezala, is a double bachelor of arts degree holder from Murdoch University in Western Australia. She has had 5 years of experience in teaching English. She has a profound knowledge of writing and is adept at using advanced vocabulary and grammatical sentence patterns. She has worked in the communications and PR industry for over 10 years prior.
Language Analysis
Language Analysis means to understand what a writer is saying in his piece of writing like an essay or an article. Analysis refers to how a writer is conveying his ideas through language techniques, such as figures of speech, sentence structure, tone, word choice, etc. The analysis of language is what you call as “Language Analysis.” The course offered has a total of 20 lessons, strictly in accordance with Australian teaching framework and expectations. Students are taught the various elements, text features, writing structure and text techniques that writers use and is needed to analyse a particular test. This forms that basis or assignment writing and is essential to develop strong writing abilities and text analysis skills for the future.
Persuasive Writing
Persuasive writing is a form of writing that develops logical arguments in order to persuade the reader to your point of view or opinion. Used in many platforms and industries that range from education, and science to marketing and advertising, this is a crucial skill one can develop that will assist with your future career.
The course is divided into beginners (suitable for Year 4-6), intermediate (suitable for Year 7-9), advanced (suitable for Year 10-12). Each level has a total of 20 lessons, strictly in accordance with Australian teaching framework and expectations. The syllabus is designed to address different skill sets. It aims to enhance vocabulary, assist with the proficient use of grammar, strengthen the basics, and have a varied number of writing topics and practice exercises. Text Response
A text response is a structured piece of writing that explains and explores a text in further detail. Text responses are usually written in response to a question, topic or angle being studied. Text Response writing forms part of the VCE exam curriculum and students above Year 10 will have the most benefit from this course.
The course offered has a total of 20 lessons, strictly in accordance with Australian teaching framework and expectations. Students often understand Text Response as a retelling the content of the article, however an accepted and expected text response essay has a structure and looks to recount the writer’s opinion and contextualization of the text or topic being discussed. Text Response seems easy, but in fact requires deep understanding of the subject material and clever use of vocabulary, writing structure and grammar. Python
Python is a general purpose and high level programming language that can be used for developing desktop GUI applications, websites and web applications.
This course is suitable for students with zero-based python, and constitutes a total of 20 lessons. The course is designed to teach the Python programming language and improve the student’s practical hands-on knowledge and logical thinking skills. The future is the era of artificial intelligence with most industries either directly on indirectly linked to it. The basis of this future is the use of Python, and it will surely become a necessary and highly priced skill to have in life. The lecturer is a young but highly skilled software engineer with a master’s degree in information engineering from Monash University.
HTML + CSS
HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language, and is used to describe the visual appearance of a document to be displayed by an internet browser. This course is suitable for students with a certain programming foundation, a consists of total of 10 lessons. The course is designed to teach web site production and front-end development and will cover the following: Functions, Subroutines, Dynamic Programming, Graphics, Popular Plug.
Small Basic
Small Basic is a simplified BASIC programming language, which belongs to Microsoft. You only need to have the most basic concepts of programming language, and is one of the easiest programming language for beginners. It is suitable for zero-based students as well. After completing Small Basic courses, you will be ready connect to Python courses and more advanced languages and programs.
Mathematics
Basics in Mathematics tutoring courses start from prep to year11. Each grade has courses that are designed to consolidate and strengthen students’ daily basic knowledge at school and provide additional practice exercises. With a customised lesson plan, detailed and informative lecture method, and educational course material appropriate for each student, These classes are much loved and highly sought after by the students.
